One harvest, I popped a Delaware grape into my mouthâso distinct and deliciousâand I needed to know how this grape gained the worldâs attention in the late 1800s with a traditional method sparkling wine. This bottling is made with the Cayuga White hybrid grape, which was developed in the 1950s in Geneva, N.Y.
